How to Help


STEP 1: Purchase and secure the land.
What is needed is immediate action to purchase this parcel of land. After June 15th, 2012 the present owner has indicated that they will open the property for sale to outside bidders; at present there is one other party interested to buy the property for development of a Christmas tree farm.
The price of the land and associated fees is approximately $190,000. I am presently seeking community members for financial investment in order to obtain the funds required for the purchase. I am seeking investors who are interested in providing loans of no less then $5000; this investment would take the form of a repayable personal loan in order to purchase the land. In exchange, I will provide a return on this investment of 4% interest / year for a period of 2 years. I am also open to investment amounts less than $5000, and if needed, for less then two years. If this is the option that best suits you, please contact me, Michel, to discuss. There are some investors that do not require any interest paid, if this is the case, please let me know. Parker & Richter Law Firm in Greenwood N.S. has been retained to provide notarized promissory notes to secure the loans.



STEP 2 :Creating an Organization Model
The second step is to bring people in the form of an Association, Executive Membership, or Board of Directors which will buy out the initial loans and accumulated interest, and create a supporting membership of caretakers. These same people will come together with a shared vision for the future of the land.
